Chelsea have agreed to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City for a deal worth £47.5 million.
According to The Athletic, the 27-year-old will sign a five-year deal with an option of a further 12 months in a deal worth £ 50 million, with no add-ons.
Raheem Sterling had agreed on personal terms earlier in the week as he would become the highest-paid player in Chelsea with a salary of £300,000 per week.
Chelsea is planning to schedule a medical in London. Sterling will join his new teammates on their pre-season tour to the United States.
The Englishman has spoken to Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel about what life is like at the club, and it is thought the England international was impressed with the German coach’s vision for the club.
The winger scored 131 goals in 339 appearances for the reigning Premier League champions.
