Chelsea Gets New Coach, Gilbert Enoka

Chelsea have hired veteran mental skills coach, Gilbert Enoka in a short-term consultancy role.

The 57-year-old was part of the coaching staff when New Zealand won the Rugby World Cup in 2011 and 2015.

Enoka became popular working with the All Blacks and now has the burden of creating a winning mentality at Stamford Bridge.

Enoka’s temporary consultancy at Chelsea will be his first work in football.

His focus will be on developing team culture and integrating the numerous new arrivals to manager Graham Potter’s squad over the past six weeks.
The Stamford Bridge club, who are ninth in the Premier League, will be hoping their new coach has a very swift impact on the players as they are really struggling despite spending over 600 million pound on players, recording just one win in their last seven games and just three goals scored in that time.
