Ex-Chelsea midfielder, Ramires has given his judgement ahead of the club’s FIFA World Cup final clash against Palmeiras today Saturday.

Thomas Tuchel’s men will challenge Verdão this evening in the final phase of the tournament at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium, UAE.

The current best club in Europe were able to hit the final round after spanking Odion Ighalo’s side, Al-Hilal in a 1-0 victory last Wednesday.

Ramires however, hopes that the Blues’ midfield will better his last club’s (Alviverde) with which he parted ways by mutual consent in November, 2020.

Ramires said: “Palmeiras is a competitive team and very dangerous when they have room to use Rony and Dudu’s speed, with Veiga loading.”

“The strength of this Chelsea, in my view, is the great ability to control their midfield, with Jorginho, Kovacic and Kante, apart from the presence of Lukaku, who is going through a great moment.”

The Brazilian added: “I believe that’s where the game will develop, with teams looking to take advantage of these qualities,” Ramires, who has also played for Palmeiras in the past, told Globo Esporte.”

The Kick-off time for Chelsea vs Palmeiras is 5.30 pm.
