Club World Cup Final: Chelsea Desperate to Avoid Repeating 2012 Mistake

Chelsea will hope to put the past knock down behind them by outshining Palmeiras in today’s Club World Cup final.

The current Champions League holders received a slap on their face 10 years ago when they had an opportunity to win the cup the very first time of their qualification.

However, Corinthians doubled their Club World Cup award by defeating Chelsea 1–0 in the final following a header from Paolo Guerrero at the International Stadium Yokohama in December, 2012.

However, Chelsea midfielder, Mateo Kovacic who is currently at the top of his form cannot wait to work with his teammates to ensure they revenge the longed-time humiliation on the Brazilian club on Saturday evening.

The Blues so qualified for the tournament as at then after having emerged the Champions League winner in 2012.
