Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, aged 19 and born in Austria to Nigerian parents, has not ruled out the possibility of representing Nigeria in the future.
Despite having already represented England at the youth level, including the FIFA U-20 World Cup in May, he remains eligible to play for the Super Eagles and considers it an option to explore later in his career.
During a post-match interview following Chelsea’s pre-season friendly draw against Borussia Dortmund, Chukwuemeka stated that he is currently focused on England but will consider other opportunities in the future.
He expressed openness to the idea of playing for the Super Eagles at a later stage in his career.
