Chiamaka Nnadozie

Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named the best goalkeeper in the French D1 Arkema women’s league, making her the first African, and specifically the first Nigerian, to win this prestigious award.

The achievement solidifies her reputation as one of the top goalkeepers in the world. At just 23 years old, Chiamaka Nnadozie outperformed notable goalkeepers like Lyon’s Christiane Endler and Paris SG’s Katarzyna Kiedrzynek to claim the title.

One of her standout skills is her ability to save penalties. This season, she saved seven penalties, the highest in Europe.

Paris FC’s president, Pierre Ferracci, expressed his satisfaction with Nnadozie’s success, saying she deserved the accolade. He noted that her performances in the Champions League and overall consistency were remarkable.

Ferracci also acknowledged that while Nnadozie is likely to attract interest from other clubs during the summer transfer window, Paris FC will do their best to keep her.

Paris FC currently sits in third place in the league with 42 points, trailing Paris Saint-Germain by eight points and league leaders Lyon by 11 points.
