Nigerian forward Chidera Ejuke has committed to helping Sevilla regain their status among the top teams in Spanish football.

After a disappointing season that saw Sevilla finish 14th in LaLiga, the club signed Ejuke on a free transfer on Monday. He is Sevilla’s first summer signing, and the club believes he can play a key role in their resurgence.

The 26-year-old winger joined Sevilla on a three-year contract after leaving Russian club CSKA Moscow. Determined to make an impact, Ejuke expressed his ambition to help the club succeed.

“The club has won lots of trophies in the past years,” Ejuke said on Sevilla’s official website. “They are a big club with high ambitions, always aiming to compete for trophies. With the quality of players in the team and my addition, I am confident we can get the club back to where it belongs.”
