Al-Hilal striker, Odion Ighalo has been lauded by Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in spite of side’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday, 9th.

The Super Eagles striker was singled out for excruciating Thomas Tuchel’s team with his strength in yesterday’s semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup.

According to DAILY POST, the former Manchester United star performed outstandingly in the game following his number of shots which were caught by the Blues’ shot-stopper, Lepa Arrizaba.

Having said that, the current Champions League holders later annihilated the Blue Waves with a single goal at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.

Chelsea top-striker, Romelu Lukaku grabbed the only goal at the 32nd minute of the encounter.

International Federation of Association Football stressed that the 32-year-old striker tortured the Blues defence with his physicality.

The highest governing body of association football made the revelation via their official website while writing on the key moments of the match.

Fifa said: “Al Hilal’s trophy dream may be over at UAE 2021, but how they must be salivating over what Odion Ighalo may do in their hallowed blue shirt.”

“After a superb debut against Al Jazira, the Nigeria striker tormented Chelsea with his strength and ability to turn, producing two breathtaking flicks along the way.”

Al-Za’eem will take on with Al Ahly in the third-place on Saturday afternoon after which Chelsea will head on Palmeiras in the final of the tournament in the evening.
