A construction worker has been apprehended for the alleged rape of a lady in Ogun state.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the accused, identified as Adeshina Adewale, a 20-years-old man was said to have committed the crime in the Itori area of Ewekoro Local Government, Ogun State on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.

It was gathered that the woman had left her daughter in charge of the shop while she was away, and due to late night sales decided to spend the night in her mother’s makeshift room near the shop.

Adewale, who is a regular customer in the shop, and had earlier come to buy food in the shop but was told it was sold out returned, claiming that his company’s gate was locked and he needed a place to sleep.
The lady, trusting him as a longtime customer, gave him the key to a nearby shop.
At around 3 am, Adewale allegedly entered the room and raped the lady who was sleeping.
He reportedly came back four days later to apologize to the lady for his actions.
