The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has warned of a possible second wave of the dreaded Coronavirus in the country.

This was disclosed by the Director General of the NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, during a media briefing organised by the National Youth Service Corps on Monday.

Dr Chikwe while speaking to press men, explained that the country must abide by the recommended protocols and guidelines developed to avoid a second wave of the virus.

He warned that the virus is still very much around and more dangerous despite the drop in recorded cases.

There has been drastic drop in the recorded cases of the lethal virus in the last couple of months with fatalities reduced to the minimum as well.
