Afrobeats star David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has labeled the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as Nigeria’s most dangerous institution.

Davido made this claim through a series of posts on his X account on Saturday during the ongoing gubernatorial election in Edo State, where he expressed deep frustration with the electoral body.

He stated, “The most dangerous institution in Nigeria @inecnigeria,” signaling his concerns about the electoral process.

The singer also urged voters in Edo to vigilantly follow their votes from polling units all the way to the state collation center. He noted that despite INEC’s previous assurances, the results may not be transmitted electronically.

“We already know that @inecnigeria will not transmit results electronically so everyone should be ready to follow the vote/result from the polling unit up until the state collation centre,” Davido warned.

He added, “Winning is one thing. Being declared a winner is another! From 7pm, make sure you head to the collation center!! #EdoDecide2024.”
