Afrobeats star and newlywed David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, expressed that marrying an Igbo woman presents its challenges. Davido, who recently married Chioma Rowland from Imo State, made this remark during an Instagram live session hosted by music executive Ubi Franklin shortly after their wedding.
During the session, Davido acknowledged, “It’s not easy. It’s not easy to marry an Igbo woman. Igbo woman, it’s not easy.”
At the wedding, Davido assured Chioma’s parents of his commitment to protecting and respecting their daughter in their marriage. He famously pledged her “a lifetime assurance,” as he reiterated during the celebrations.
