Davido Warns Critics: Vows to Retaliate Against Mistreatment on Social Media

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, has issued a stern warning to his critics on social media. The ‘Over Dem’ singer declared that he will no longer tolerate mistreatment and promised to retaliate against anyone who treats him badly this year.

On his X handle, OBO wrote: “Anybody wey do me bad go collect this year one by one just Dey watch … e don start already.”

This comes after OBO faced backlash following the announcement of his meme coin, $Davido. A community note under his post on X accused him of fraud, stating, “Davido recently scammed people with his cryptocurrency token $DAVIDO.”

Amid the controversy, fellow artist Wizkid posted a cryptic tweet that many interpreted as a jab at Davido: “Work smart make u no go Dey hustle like fool.”
