Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has carpeted the administration of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as one without regards for job creation.
The Obarisi of Urhoboland stated this while declaring for the Delta 2023 governorship race in Effurun, on Thursday.
Omo-Agege said the administration of the People’s Democratic Party under Ifeanyi Okowa has no plans for youths in the state other than turning them to motorcycle (Okada) and tricycle (Keke) riders.

“Our youths have graduated from school for 7, 8 and 10 years but no job. Okowa wants youths to ride Okada. He wants youths to ride Keke. Meanwhile, those of them close to him ride in the best cars made by scientists.
Agege also lamented over the ill-treatment meted on retired civil servants in the state, using it as a pointer on why the APC must be voted into power in 2023.
“Our civil servants, our parent who gave the best part of their lives in the service of this state, some of them have retired for 10 years but have not been laid their retirement benefits.
“Meanwhile, Okowa is busy employing… Okowa spends N2 billion every month on these people who do not contribute anything to these state. Enough is Enough.
“Therefore, today April 14, 2022, I Senator Ovie Omo-Ageg, the Obarisi of Urhoboland, I offer myself as a candidate for the office of governor of Delta State,” he said.
