The Youth President of Ogulagha Community, Comr. Anthony Waterwei Okilo has congratulated the newly sworn in Chairman of Burutu local government area, Hon. Godknows Angele, and his vice, Chief Combolous Ikisa, on their landslide victory at the just concluded local government elections.

Waterwei also congratulated Hon. Prosper Lamieghan, Councillor Representing Ogulagha Ward 19 for his victory at the elections conducted by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) over the weekend.

Okilo issued the congratulatory message via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri, on Wednesday..

Waterwei had extended his congratulatory message to all the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) councillors elect across Burutu Local Government Area and by extension the entire state, describing their victories as massive and interesting.

On his part, the Executive Director for Planning, Research and Statistics in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Commission, DESOPADEC, Amb Shedrack Agediga noted that the victory of the PDP during Saturday’s polls is a testament that the party is doing well and that Deltans are truly happy with the party.

Meanwhile, the newly elected Council Chairman were sworn-in by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Monday, alongside their Vice Chairmen.

While all 25 Council chairmen were males, 17 female vice chairmen were sworn in alongside their male counterparts across the state.
