Rock had made a joke about Pinkett’s hairstyle, comparing it to actress Demi Moore’s shaved head in the film “G.I. Jane.”

The lady, on the other hand, found the joke to be offensive. Her husband gave an uneasy laugh at first, but then stormed the stage and smacked Rock in the face.

Smith was taken aside and comforted by Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry during the commercial break, just after the slap, and signaled for him to brush it off.

Denzel is also seen consoled by Jada and Will’s representative.
