Ahead of the Edo state gubernatorial election slated for tomorrow, September 19, Saturday, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the restriction of vehicular movement from 11:59 on Friday, to 6pm on Saturday.

Through a statement released by the force spokesman, DCP Frank Mba, the IG noted that the order was necessary by the need to prevent the circulation, free flow, and use of illicit arms and hard drug within the election period.

The statement further enjoined citizens to go out in mass and vote on the election day, as maximum security by the police and other security agencies have been provided.
