Diezani’s Associate, Jide Omokore Acquitted of $1.6bn Fraud | Daily Report Nigeria

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court in Abuja has discharged and acquitted the Chairman of Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Nigeria Limited, Jide Omokore of fraud allegations.

Omokore was arraigned alongside Victor Briggs, Abiye Membere, and David Mbanefo on 15 counts of fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2016.

They were alleged to have fraudulently diverted $1.6bn alleged to be part of proceeds of sales of petroleum products belonging to the federal government.
