This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary General of the Egbema Traditional Council, Chief JP Owili, and made available to Daily Report Nigeria.

The Council noted that the decision reached by it was irreversible, stressing that Egin remained the Agadagba elect of the Egbema people.

The statement read;

“Our attention has been drawn to a publication credited to Chief Johnbull Adaun and urging the general public to disregard the Agadagba-elect HRM N.S. Egin, Esq.

“While we thank the general public particularly royal fathers of various kingdoms who have sent in their congratulatory messages, we wish to condemn the statement credited to Chief Johnbull Adaun and further urge him to follow the path of peace.

“Johnbull Adaun is aware that he has ceased to be chairman of Regency Council on the 16th June, 2022 which there are documents to that effect.

“His new alliance with Tantita Security and other figures to violently invade the royal palace in the middle of the night leading to the disappearance of the Agadagba-elect will not change the decision of the traditional council.

“It is forbidden to reverse the decision already taken. We are calling on all sons and daughters of Egbema to remain calm and embrace the new light that is rising in Egbema Kingdom.

“Long live the Agadagba-elect. Long live Egbema Kingdom.”
