The councillor candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Kunukunuama Ward 18, Warri South-West Local Government, Idukedoumene Samuel Ekpemupolo, Area has pledged effective representation to the people.
The youthful politician said this at the grand campaign of the PDP at Ogbe-Ijoh, headquarters of the Council ahead of the July 13, 2024 local government polls in the state.
Speaking with Daily Report Nigeria, Sampolo, as he is fondly called, expressed readiness to change the narrative held about councillors.
“Effective representation of the women, youths, and elderly is what I stand for,” Sampolo said.

“I look forward to bringing a chanve to the narrations around councillors. Being a councillor is not an empowerment. It is a way to bring employment to our people by the little way we can,” he stressed.
The councillor hopeful pledged to work in close relationship with the chairmanship hopeful of the party, Chief Sylvester Oromoni, “to ensure skill acquisition and other forms of empowerment for our people.”

“It is unity that brings progress. My colleagues and I look forward to working in a harmonious relationship with the executive to bring the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to the grassroots, “he added.
The Warri South-West campaign was led by the Delta State PDP Chairman, Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, who was joined by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Dennis Guwor alongside other leaders and stalwarts of the party.
Highlight of the event was the handing over of the PDP flag to the party’s chairmanship candidate, Sylvester Oromoni.
