Elton John Confirms Retirement from Touring After Record-Breaking Farewell Tour

Elton John

Legendary British singer Elton John has officially announced his retirement from touring. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 77-year-old confirmed that he will never tour again, reflecting on the culmination of his farewell tour with a final show in Stockholm last July.

“The last show in Stockholm on the farewell tour after Glastonbury, I got in the car and went, ‘Yes! Yes!’ We went out on the biggest high, just the way I wanted to, and there’s no going back after that,” he expressed.

Elton John’s farewell tour, which concluded in early last year, generated $939 million (£749 million) across 328 shows, making it the highest-grossing music tour in history at the time, until Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour surpassed this record with $1 billion in revenue.
