Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed the new penalty taker for Chelsea football club.
He confirmed that Christopher Nkunku is the team’s designated penalty taker.
This decision was evident in Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Club America in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night, where Nkunku opened the scoring with a successful penalty kick.

Marc Guiu extended Chelsea’s lead, and later in the game, Nkunku earned another penalty. However, this time he allowed Noni Madueke to take the shot, which brought the final score to 3-0.
Enzo Maresca explained, “I have decided that Christopher takes the penalties. When the first penalty was awarded, Noni was ready to take it, but I instructed Tosin to let Noni know that Christo had to take it. I make the decisions on who takes the penalties, not the players.”
