Former Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere has given judgement about the club’s chance of winning the Premier League Title this season.

The 30-year-old has revealed Mikel Arteta’s team will not lift the trophy in the ongoing campaign.

The English footballer has therefore advised the board not to relent in backing up the coach.

By doing so, the ex-Bournemouth star believes the Gunners can win the title in the future.

Wilshere told talkSPORT: “I think with the right backing and bringing the right players in.”

“He [Arteta] definitely has a clear structure and philosophy of the way he sees football.”

“Listen, they’re not going to win the league this year.”

He added: “But in the next two or three years, if they can get into the top four, get a few big signings in, give them time to settle and see how the manager wants them to play.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal have bolstered their squad by bringing new six signings with an exorbitant sum of £150 million in the summer.

All the new signings aged 24 or below, have resuscitated Arsenal with their concerted efforts at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are currently sitting fourth with six, seven and fifteen points behind the 3rd-placed Liverpool, 2nd-placed Chelsea and leaders Manchester City.

The Gunners will be hosting Guardiola’s citizens in a league tie fixed for today, January 1st at 1:30pm.
