Liverpool is set to make Mohamed Salah the most highly-paid among their players.

The Reds would employ a signing-on fee to entice the Egyptian forward whose current deal expires in 2023 and make fresh terms with the club.

The 29-year-old who is at the top of his form has netted 15 times in all matches in the ongoing campaign.

His contributions in the last two league matches of double 5-0 win against Watford and Manchester United cannot be underrated.

The 2017 and 2018 CAF African Footballer has previously scored one and assisted one against Watford before scoring a hattrick plus one assist at Old Trafford against United.

His deal’s extension would see him overshadow Van Dijk who currently earns £220,000 a week and would thus become the highest-paid player at Anfield.

Salah said: “It doesn’t depend on me, but if you asked me I would love to stay until the last day of my football [career].

“I can’t say much about that, it’s not in my hands. It depends on what  the club wants.”
