Chelsea might have been crowned the winners had Pulisic converted his chance in the 81st minute.

Following the disappointing result, the 28-year-old clarified that he was baffled.

Apart from the 3-2 victory against Leeds United, the Blues have not won any game since December 1st when they thrashed Watford 2-1.

Rudiger said: “With the circumstances, of course, the build-up of the game was not the easiest but we have to look at the table so yes we cannot be happy with that point.”

“The second half we had a good uplift, we showed character but still at the end of the day we cannot be happy with this point because looking at the table.”

Still, in 3rd place, Thomas Tuchel’s men are now three points behind Liverpool and six points above Arsenal who sit fourth in the EPL table.

Meanwhile, Chelsea still has a score to settle with Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, 22nd.
