EPL: ‘We’ re not happy’ – Rudiger Says Following Chelsea’s Draw with Wolves

Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger has blasted his teammates following the side’s goalless draw with Bruno Lage’s Wolves on Sunday.

The German player held the team is no longer capable of burying matches amidst mentioning Christian Pulisic’s missed chance during the match.

The former Roma defender also said the 0-0 tie at Molineux stadium could not bring a smile to their lips.

Chelsea might have been crowned the winners had Pulisic converted his chance in the 81st minute.

Following the disappointing result, the 28-year-old clarified that he was baffled.

Apart from the 3-2 victory against Leeds United, the Blues have not won any game since December 1st when they thrashed Watford 2-1.

Rudiger said: “With the circumstances, of course, the build-up of the game was not the easiest but we have to look at the table so yes we cannot be happy with that point.”

“Luck is not on our side because we don’t bury this type of chances [Pulisic chance] so yea it’s difficult not to win games away from home.”

“The first half it was not at our best, they dominated the game but they were not dangerous.”

“The second half we had a good uplift, we showed character but still at the end of the day we cannot be happy with this point because looking at the table.”

Still, in 3rd place, Thomas Tuchel’s men are now three points behind Liverpool and six points above Arsenal who sit fourth in the EPL table.
