Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has openly expressed his admiration for Arsenal’s Declan Rice, admitting that he regrets not signing him.

Rice has emerged as a key figure for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal since his move from West Ham last summer, featuring in all 36 of the Gunners’ Premier League matches.

The English midfielder’s stellar performances earned him a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Year award.

During the transfer window, Rice attracted interest from several clubs, including Manchester City. Ten Hag hinted that he wished Manchester United had also pursued him.

When asked about Rice’s abilities and whether he would have liked to have him in his squad, Erik ten Hag responded, “He’s an excellent player. He would have definitely fit in here.”
