The 24-year-old has been given leave by City to attend the funeral of a family friend, Ivar Eggja, who passed away earlier this month.

Initially, City had planned to grant Haaland compassionate leave, but he participated in matches against Brentford, Arsenal, and Inter Milan in the Champions League last week before deciding to return home.
