Former Golden Eaglets striker, Funsho Bamgboye has left Hungarian club Feherver FC for Rapid Bucharest in Romania.

Bamgboye signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with an option to extend for another season.

“I feel very good to be here and to be part of this club. I am very pleased with the choice made,” he told the club’s official website.

“Honestly, I knew quite a lot about Rapid, because the first time they told me about Rapid, I told them that I know the club, the conditions here. It was great.

The 24-year-old was a member of the Eaglets side that won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2015.

He netted in the 2-0 win against Mali in the final with Victor Osimhen, who currently plays for Serie A club, Napoli scoring the other goal.

The player started his professional career at Hungarian club, Haladas in 2017 and later transferred to MOL Fehervar.

He has already scored two goals in 11 appearances for Fehervar this season.
