Osimhen Makes Serie A History in Napoli Win

Victor Osimhen made history as the first Napoli player to score in seven straight Serie A games after netting in from a tight corner in the Partenopei’s 2-0 win against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.

The Nigeria superstar scored the second goal of the game on 33rd minute after Napoli took the lead early in the match.

He has now scored 18 goals and recorded three assists in 19 league appearances for Luciano Spalletti’s team this season.

The stunning strike was also the forward’s 100th career goal.

Victor Osimhen has now scored 85 goals for his various European clubs so far, with 15 goals in 22 appearances for the Super Eagles.

He is also currently the second best African top scorer in the Serie A behind former Ballon d’Or winner and AC Milan star, George Weah.

The 23-year-old has tallied 42 goals in 70 Serie A outings for Napoli.

Weah scored 46 goals in 114 matches for AC Milan.
