Names of Retired Service Chiefs

The Chiefs of Defense Staff and Chiefs of Services, who were retired by President Bola Tinubu will enjoy personal bulletproof Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) as one of their retirement benefits.

Other retirement benefits of the service chiefs included
personal aides, guards, and other perks of office, including generous allowance for medical treatment abroad, as retirement benefits

Recall that Tinubu on Monday, June 19, 2023, retired the ex-service chief and further replaced them with new generals.

The affected senior military officers were the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor; Chief of Army Staff.

Others were, Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao.

The Uniform Terms and Conditions of Service of Officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces (Revised), 2017, obtained exclusively by Saturday PUNCH and tagged “Restricted”, shows the retirement benefits of retired generals.
