Manchester United caretaker coach, Ralf Rangnick, has pinned the club’s last defeat to the officiating team.
The former RB Leipzig boss said the Red Devils’ loss to Middlesbrough which sent them packing out of the FA Cup on Friday was traced to the match officials.
Middlesbrough which competes in the EFL Championship annihilated Rangnick’s men 8-7 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in full time.

Jason Sancho had put United Ahead with a goal through Bruno Fernandes assist in the 25th minute of the game.
Five minutes earlier, Rangnick’s men were awarded a penalty which was missed by Christiano Ronaldo.
Middlesbrough’s Matt Crooks levelled the game as he found an equalizer four minutes past an hour-mark.
Meanwhile, Duncan Watmore had clearly handled the ball before chipping it to Crooks who converted it.

However, the referee awarded the goal and no VAR’s Review as it was held to be ‘accidental handball’.
Anthony Elanga missed side’s key penalty in the shootout to give Boro a place in the next phase of the tournament.
Rangnick said after the game: “How can it be accidental [handball] if he controls the ball up in the air with his hand?”
“It was clear it should not stand, but in the end, I was really surprised it stood.”
