Prince Chinedu Munir Nwoko, popularly known as Ned Nwoko, is a Nigerian lawyer, businessman, philanthropist, and politician.
He currently serves as the senator representing Delta North Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress (APC), having previously been a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Born on 21 December 1960 into the Nwoko Royal Family of Idumuje-Ugboko, Delta State, Ned Nwoko enjoyed a privileged upbringing that opened doors to global opportunities. He studied in the United Kingdom, earning a Law and History degree from the University of Keele and an LLM in Maritime and Commercial Law from King’s College London. He was called to the English Bar at Lincoln’s Inn and was later awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Letters (D.Litt) by Commonwealth University College, Belize.
Legal Career
Nwoko began his legal career in the UK, serving at the Crown Prosecution Service and later working with Kumars Solicitors and Pascaldiers & Co Solicitors. He founded Ned Nwoko & Co Solicitors, which became one of the largest Black law firms in England. He also served as Secretary General of the Nigerian Legal Practitioners (UK) and was a member of the Law Society of England & Wales. In 1995, he was recognised as the “best black lawyer of African descent in England.”
Political Career
Nwoko entered Nigerian politics in 1999 as a member of the House of Representatives, representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency. In 2023, he was elected Senator for Delta North. He resigned from the PDP in 2025 and joined the APC, citing party divisions that hindered his ability to deliver for his constituents.

- Championing London & Paris Club loan refunds, securing billions of dollars for local governments.
- Sponsoring bills and motions on education, healthcare, youth empowerment, infrastructure, diaspora voting, and anti-colonial reparations.
