Nollywood’s Don Brymo was one of the industry’s prominent actors who reportedly died during his sleep Wednesday night.

Don Brymo’s demise was announced by one of his colleagues, Mr Mayor Ofoegbu- a popular movie director in the industry.

Born Don Brymo Uchegbu popularly called Don Brymo, started acting right from his secondary school days in Enugu.

He was regarded as one of the best-performing actors in Nigeria.

Don Brymo was always known for playing the role of a royal king, traditional prime minister, elder, and titled chief in several Nollywood movies. He acted mostly in epic movies, contemporary movies, glamour movies, and action thriller movies alongside Zbby Michael, Ken Erics, Yul Edochie, Chika Ike, Ini Edo, and a host of others.

Don Brymo was born on November 24 1966 in Anambra, Southern Nigeria where he completed both his primary and secondary school education and obtained both his First School Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE).

After his secondary education, the Anambra-born actor proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts.

He joined Nollywood in the late 2000s and since then till date, he has featured in over one hundred Nollywood blockbuster movies including My God Never Sleep, The Lion Girl, The Village Prostitute, Land of Fire, Oga Landlord, among several others.

Before his death, Don Brymo won several awards. Notable among the awards were Best Actor in Leading Role at the City People Entertainment Awards, Most Promising Act to Watch at the Best of Nollywood Awards, Best Actor in Drama at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Award of Excellence by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), etc.

He was a husband and fathered unnumbered grown-up kids.
