Femi Falana, Human rights lawyer, has described the resolution of the Southern governors which requires security agencies to notify them as the chief security officer of their states before carrying out any operation within their states as ‘late’.
Falana made this known on Channels Television’s ‘Politics Today’ programme on Monday.

The Southern Governors asked for prior notification if, for any reason, federal agencies need to carryout any operation within their domain.
But reacting to the development, Falana said, “It is a decision that is coming rather late.
“Governors are chief security officers of their states in line with the constitution.
“Each state has a security council and the governor is the chairman,” he said
