Nigeria’s Falconets are aiming to secure a spot in the quarter-finals of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup as they prepare to face Japan at the Estadio El Techo in Bogota.
The Round of 16 match is scheduled to kick off at 8pm local time, which is 2am in Nigeria (Friday morning).
The Falconets finished second in Group D, behind former champions Germany, after achieving two wins and one draw in the group stage.

Despite their strong performance, Nigeria has not advanced past the quarter-finals since the 2014 tournament.
Japan, on the other hand, enters the match as one of the five teams that won all three of their group games and are eyeing their first title since 2018.
