A 60-year-old man identified as Ikechukwu has been arrested by the Enugu state Police Command for allegedly killing his son in Ogbozinne-Ndiagu Akpugo community, Nkanu West Local Government Area on Thursday, October 14.
According to reports, Ikechukwu on Wednesday night put a call accross to the community chairman with claims that his son had threatened to kill him while they were engaged in an argument.
The Community’s chief security officer (CSO) and his team was immediately informed to go to his house and settle whatever it is that is going on between father and son.

Information gathered stated that while the CSO and his team were still trying to resolve the issue, Ikechukwu lifted up and axe and used it on his sons back.
He further attempted to bury him as he died the following morning but was apprehended by the police.
The spokesperson of the state police command, Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the incident and said that three suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
“Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the case of alleged conspiracy and murder. Investigation is ongoing at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Enugu State.
“The father of the deceased, the chairman of the community and the CSO are helping the police in their investigation,” Ndukwe said
