Favour Ofili has reflected on her standout performance in the women’s 200m at the 2024 Olympic Games. Ofili won her heat with a remarkable time of 22.24 seconds.
The 21-year-old athlete, who was unable to compete in the women’s 100m due to registration issues with the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) and the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), remained focused on her goals.
“I was determined to shine despite the setbacks. Mental preparation was crucial. Regardless of the circumstances, I was committed to being ready,” Ofili told Making of Champions.

Favour Ofili also emphasized her competitive spirit: “When I step onto the track, my goal is always to finish first. We are all Olympians, and I approach every competitor with the same respect.”
