During the event, Trump was struck in the ear by a bullet in a deadly shooting that unfolded in front of a packed audience. Crooks was subsequently shot and killed by police at the scene.
Crooks, identified as a registered Republican, has sparked political controversy, with some figures within the party blaming President Joe Biden for allegedly inciting violence against Trump.
JD Vance, a potential contender for Trump’s running mate, emphasized that the incident was more than an isolated act of violence.
Similarly, Mike Collins, a Republican congressman from Georgia, called for immediate legal action against Biden, accusing him of orchestrating the assassination attempt.
