Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has endorsed his teammate Vinicius Junior as the next Ballon d’Or winner.
Vinicius Junior is a strong contender for this year’s award, thanks to an outstanding season in which he played a pivotal role in Real Madrid’s La Liga and Champions League victories. He scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions, and was also instrumental in securing the Supercopa de España.
His exceptional performances earned him a spot among the final 30 Ballon d’Or nominees.

Other contenders include Manchester City’s Rodri, Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, Dani Carvajal, and Kylian Mbappe.
Federico Valverde, confident in Vinicius’s potential, took to social media to label his teammate as the future Ballon d’Or winner, commenting on a post featuring Vinicius with his 2023/24 UEFA Champions League Player of the Season award. Valverde simply wrote, “The next Ballon d’Or.”
