The agreement was formalised during a visit to China by a Nigerian delegation led by Fidson’s Founder and Managing Director, Dr Fidelis Ayebae.

This followed an earlier visit to Nigeria by Dr Heliang Fu, Chairman of Jiangsu Aidea Pharma, who toured the Lekki Free Trade Zone, the designated site for the new facility.

Dr Fu said:

This collaboration marks a significant step for Chinese pharmaceutical players in their commitment to global medical cooperation. By integrating our expertise and experience in innovative drugs, we are confident in enhancing the well-being of African patients.”

Dr Ayebae:

We eagerly anticipate this collaboration and believe that the complementary strengths of all parties will inject new vitality into the healthcare sector in Africa, particularly in addressing the medical needs of over 1.9 million HIV-infected individuals in Nigeria, a key focus for Aidea Pharma.”
