FIFA has announced the prize money for yesterday’s winners of the Club World Cup, the runners-up and the third-place winners.

Sporting News has reported that the Champions, Chelsea will receive $5 million as the prize money for lifting the trophy.

The International Federation of Association Football will also pay the runner-up, Palmerais $4 million.

Al-Ahly will also be given $2.5 million for beating Al-Hilal in the third place.

Thomas Tuchel’s men took a 2-1 victory over Palmeiras on Saturday at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Blues grabbed their first FIFA Club World Cup in a match that had to pass beyond the normal 90 minutes as Chelsea were held down to a 1-1 draw in full-time.

However, Kai Harvertz’s goal in th second half of extra-time was all Chelsea needed to lift the title.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly also heavily trumped Al-Hilal in a 4-0 victory in the third-place final clash earlier on Saturday.
