Fire Breaks Out in Kaduna Government Secretariat | Daily Report Nigeria

On Wednesday, May 22, at approximately 2:30 pm, a fire broke out at the Kaduna State Government Secretariat, situated on Independence Way.

Malam Ibrahim Mohammed, an eyewitness and state government civil servant, reported the incident to Daily Trust.

Fortunately, no lives were lost, but some offices suffered damage, with furniture and other items being destroyed.

Mohammed added that the cause of the fire remains unknown but is suspected to be related to a power surge.

In a separate incident, a septuagenarian who was present to testify in a case involving his friend suddenly collapsed and died inside an Ondo State High Court in Oka, Ondo.

It was said that the Deceased showed no signs of illness before the sudden collapse, which occurred without any apparent interaction or collision with anyone or anything.

The police from the Enu-Owa Division in Ondo responded to the scene, retrieved the body, and deposited it at the morgue.

Reports held that the case has been transferred to the homicide section of the police headquarters in Akure, as confirmed by Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).
