The Ogun State Police Command has arrested five suspects for allegedly stealing 18 cows from Great Fold Acres Farm in Ori-Okuta Village, Kajola.
The theft, which took place on August 3, 2024, involved breaking into the ranch and loading the cattle onto a truck.
The Ogun State Police have detained Ojo Akintunde, Adamu Abubakar, Udu Saliu, Shehu Sakariyau, and Aliu Muhammed—on charges of stealing 18 cows from the Great Fold Acres Farm in Ori-Okuta Village, Kajola.

According to Odutola Omolola, spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, the suspects were apprehended on August 3, 2024.
The police acted on a tip-off from Emmanuel Mosaku, the ranch manager, who suspected the five employees of the theft. The suspects were caught while loading the stolen cattle onto a truck.
A subsequent search led to the discovery of nine additional cattle tied up in a nearby forest.
Omolola stated, “The suspects were found loading the stolen cattle onto a truck. The remaining cattle were recovered from a bush.”
In a related incident, the Sakura Police Division arrested Soyemi Adedeji, who, along with another suspect, allegedly stole food items and cash from an eatery in Isale Oko, Sagamu Local Government Area.
The stolen goods included a bag of rice, vegetables, fish, drinks, tubers of yam, and N267,000. All items were recovered, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the other suspect involved.
