The Ogun state police command have confirmed the arrest and detainment of it’s officers for demanding money to conduct investigations.
Daily Report Nigeria recalls that a point of sale operator’s daughter had gone missing in the state, and an aunt to the victim took to social media platform, X to narrate the incident.
She added that after lodging a complaint to a police station, they demanded numerous amount of money boty to write a statement and to track the little girl.

In recent update, the PRO of the Nigeria Police Force, Muyiwa Adejobi, in his X page today, Saturday, December 28 said the officers involved have been arrested.
“Otta missing girl: The policemen who demanded money before they could attend to the case have been arrested and are now in detention for disciplinary action.
“We condemn such an act and will not tolerate it. It is inhuman, apathetic, and unprofessional.”
“The Ogun State Police Command has been on the case. The girl will be found as soon as possible. We also urge the family of the victim to cooperate with the police,” he added
