Specifically, he was accused of influencing the award of a consultancy contract for the Nigerian Air Start-up and an apron extension contract at Katsina Airport to his associates and family members.

The EFCC claimed that Sirika committed criminal breach of trust and corruption by using his position for personal gain.

He is also accused of knowingly holding indirect private interests in the contracts awarded to his associates.

However, the Former Minister denied any wrongdoing and has pledged to cooperate with the court.
