Famous Nigerian actress Funke Akindele has explained why she is no longer close with Eniola Badmus and other colleagues.
In a recent interview on Arise TV, Funke shared her approach to maintaining friendships in the entertainment industry, revealing that she has never had close friends aside from her siblings.
“My siblings are my friends. I have people I’m cordial with, but no serious friendships because I’m always busy with work. When I’m not working, I’m sleeping, watching movies, or spending time with my kids and family,” she said. “I like being in my space. I don’t like going to parties. I run a studio, we film all year, and we have movies in cinemas, on streaming platforms, and on YouTube. So, I stay busy with work and my children.”
Funke emphasized that she has cordial relationships with all her industry colleagues but prefers working with certain people. When specifically asked about Eniola Badmus, with whom she used to be very close, Funke said, “Eniola Badmus cracks me up. I love to chill with her, but we’ve all been so busy with life. Everyone is doing their own thing.”
