Gloria Izonfou: Kidnapped Bayelsa Commissioner Released

Bayelsa commissioner, Gloria Izonfou regains freedom.

A Federal Commissioner with the National Population Commission in Bayelsa State, Mrs Gloria Izonfuo has been released by her kidnappers.

The armed men had whisked the former Head of Service in Bayelsa State away alongside her driver and maid at the Ogbakiri junction in Emuoha Local Government Area of Rivers State while returning from a trip in Brass, Bayelsa State last Sunday.

Having spent about five days in captivity, the spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed she was released on Friday morning.

However, it was unknown if the two others gained freedom as well, also it could not be ascertained if any ransom was paid.
