Godswill Akpabio Announces Date to Declare For 2023 Presidency

The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio is set to officially join the race for the 2023 presidency, in a bid to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Villa.

This was revealed by his media aide, Aniete Ekong, who said that the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State will declare his intention on Wednesday, May 4, in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capital.

Ekong also said that the minister will contest for the 2023 presidency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Akpabio will be joining other notable aspirants led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu; Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and Minister of State for Education, Chukuemeka Nwajiuba, to contest for the APC presidential ticket on May 30.

Others are Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River, former Imo Governor Senator Rochas Okorocha, and former Senate President Ken Nnamani, among others.
