Moses Jituboh, a former Aide-de-Camp to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has died at the age of 54 after a brief illness.

Jituboh, a Bayelsa State indigene, served as Jonathan’s ADC while he was governor of Bayelsa State and as Vice President.

A source close to the family confirmed the death, stating, “Yes, your information is correct. I can confirm that he (Moses Jituboh) is dead. I just got off the phone with a community chief.” The source added that efforts were ongoing to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Jituboh, a former Deputy Inspector-General of Police, was touted to be appointed Inspector General of Police after Jonathan’s presidency but lost out. The Zone 16 Police Command has commiserated with the Jituboh family and Bayelsans over his death.
